Elbow Pain

Elbow pain can often be persistent, and is frequently caused by stress, such as overstressing an arm during sports (tennis elbow) or carrying heavy objects.

With its laser combination therapy, the Centre for Integrative Medicine offers a special therapy plan that provides long-lasting elimination of the causes behind the symptoms.

Laser Combination Therapy

What causes elbow pain?

Elbow pain is primarily caused by muscle insertion problems: so-called tennis elbow (epicondylitis radialis) is linked to stress and insertion inflammation of the extensor muscles, whereas golfer’s elbow (epicondylitis ulnaris) is caused by problems in flexor muscles.

The success of the treatment depends on:

The cause of elbow pain lies not only at the point of pain – which is often treated too intensively in the absence of long-term relief – but especially in the increased tension of the muscle chains that lead from the fingers to the cervical spine. Only after these muscles and their respective cervical spine and the painful point on the elbow have been successfully treated can lasting therapeutic success occur.

Trinicum Laser therapyLaser combination therapy

The treatment of elbow pain is done via isolated local laser therapy using a high-intensity cold laser and is combined with a corresponding supra-regional therapy such as physical therapy. This enables a reduction in pain as well as the elimination of the underlying cause, such as dysfunction of the muscle chains.
