Antibody test
Antibody tests serve to detect antibodies in instances where infection with the coronavirus has already occurred. Antibody tests seek out the defence mechanisms which circulate in the body (antibodies) rather than the virus itself. Antibodies are only detectable after the onset of the illness or in later phases of the disease. Studies suggest that antibodies can be detected about two to three weeks after infection. On request, we can also check important health indicators such as your vitamin levels and the condition of your immune system. You can also combine your antibody test with a precautionary check-up or book enhanced preventive medical laboratory tests in order to detect any potential immune deficiencies in good time.
Die Blutabnahme für den Antikörpertest erfolgt im TRINICUM-Zentrum für Integrative Medizin und Schmerztherapie am Schwarzenbergplatz 6 (Eingang Zaunergasse 1-3, 1030 Wien).
An antibody test is the best option
- for infections which have been present for at least two weeks or which have already run their course
- to detect immunity
- to confirm unclear or asymptomatic infections
At Trinicum diagnostics we offer, among others, the surrogate neutralisation test and antibody test according to WHO standards. On request, the ELISA antibody test as well as the antibody neutralisation test can also be booked. We may be able to provide additional antibody tests upon request.
Surrogate neutralisation test
Antibodies can be quickly detected using the surrogate neutralisation test. This means of testing uses the established ELISA method. The surrogate neutralisation test is particularly suitable for detecting coronavirus infections caused by coronavirus mutations, as it also reacts to coronavirus mutations.
The surrogate neutralisation test is currently one of the most accurate antibody tests.

- Add-ons: an enhanced check-u and immune status assessment via a micronutrient profile are available for an additional charge

Once a blood sample has been collected, the antibody test results will usually be available within the next 5 to 7 working days, subject to technical issues or problems with the supply chain for substrates. You will receive the test result from us by email.

You can also combine your antibody test with a precautionary check-up or book enhanced preventive medical laboratory tests in order to detect any potential immune deficiencies in good time.
Antigen test result in 15 minutes
The new rapid antigen tests are a simple and fast method of strategically testing large groups of people for coronavirus infection. The result is available within 15 minutes after a nasal swab has been taken. Due to the high sensitivity of the antigen tests, the samples may only be taken by medical professionals.
Costs and test results
- 19 euros
- Antigen group prices for 10 people or more: 10 euros (Sunday 15 euros)
- Positive and Negative test result: You will receive a notification through secure email
Antigen tests are very accurate for persons with a high viral load, the so-called “superspreaders”. Here the hit rate is approx. 97.56%: in people with a low viral load (e.g. in the early phase of the disease) they are of limited usefulness. A positive antigen test must therefore always be verified using a PCR test.
Trinicum offers strategic antigen tests for businesses and in advance of events. In addition, we offer healthcare providers and companies the opportunity to obtain antigen tests from our online shop.
